RECRUITMENT OF BOARD MEMBERS

The John Howard Society of Quebec is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping and supporting people who have been involved with the criminal justice system. Its role is primarily geared towards the social reintegration of these individuals by offering services and resources to facilitate their return to society, such as temporary housing, psychosocial support, and access to professionals and peer support workers. The John Howard Society also operates an alternative to detention service in Montreal for certain individuals in Canada who are in an irregular situation.

We are currently seeking two additional members to join our Board of Directors, which currently has four members. This represents approximately 30 hours per year and consists of 1.5-hour online evening meetings, usually starting at 6:00 p.m. The positions are available immediately. If our cause is important to you and you want to make a difference, we would be happy if you participated in our organization’s mission. All applications are welcome, but the candidates must speak French. If you are interested, please contact: adjointe@john-howard.qc.ca.
